Visa on Arrival Facility 

Government of India is to introduce ‘Visa-on-Arrival’ facility to nationals of Republic of Korea with effect from 1st October 2018.

2. In this regard following points may please be noted:

i) Visa-on-Arrival will be granted to a Republic of Korea national who is visiting India for a period not exceeding 60 days for business, tourism, conference or medical purposes.

ii) ‘Visa-on-Arrival’ will be provided only at designated international airports namely, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

iii) ‘Visa-on-Arrival’ will be valid for entry and stay in India within the period of its validity subject to the conditions specified. The Immigration Officer may grant a double entry Visa-on-Arrival valid upto 60 days to the citizens of Republic of Korea. There will be no restriction on number of times a Republic of Korea national can avail this facility. This would be in addition to e-Visa facility.

iv) ‘Visa-on-Arrival’ shall be non-extendable and cannot be converted to any other kind of Visa during the stay of the foreigner in India. 

v) A fee of Rs.2,000/- or equivalent in foreign currency per passenger (including children), will be charged from each Republic of Korea national for the grant of Visa-on-Arrival. The fee charged will be reviewed from time to time.

vi) UN Passport holders having Republic of Korea nationality shall not be eligible for ‘Visa-on-Arrival’ facility. ‘Visa-on-Arrival’ facility will also not be available to international travel document holders e.g. INTERPOL officials.

vii) This facility shall not be available to the citizens of Republic of Korea if the person or either of his / her parents or grandparents (paternal or maternal) was born in, or was permanently resident in Pakistan. Such persons can visit India only after obtaining an appropriate visa from the India Mission / Post concerned.
