Inauguration of India@75 Celebrations

India attained independence after a lengthy period of British colonial rule on August 15, 1947; by a happy coincidence, we share our Independence Day, August 15, with the people of the Republic of Korea. To commemorate this occasion, Government of India intends to mark this milestone in our journey as a nation with 75 weeks of India@75 celebrations.

The 75 Weeks Celebrations of India@75 will begin from March 15, 2021 culminating on August 15, 2022.

    • Inaugural Ceremony

  • Inaugural Ceremony for India@75 will be held on March 19, 2021 at 1500-1600 hrs via online platform with the remarks of H. E. Mr. Hwang Hee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Republic of Korea and Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of Culture and Tourism, Government of India followed by dance and musical rendition on India@75.
