Spoof calls allert

Posted on: March 15, 2021 | Back | Print

It has been reported that Indian nationals staying in South Korea are getting spoof calls from people imitating as Indian Embassy officials and demanding money under some pretext. Embassy doesn’t ask any personal information of any individual.

Please make sure that if you have applied for any services in Embassy of India, Seoul, Embassy will not ask your personal information over phone and if any documentation is required we will communicate by mail through our official mail id cons.seoul@mea.gov.in. Few Indians have received call regarding their current visa extension process in Korean immigration, as visa extension process is related to Korean Immigration; Embassy will never ask details about the same.

Please don't fall prey to such trap. If you have received any such fake/spoof calls before, please register the spoof call through the following web-link- https://www.indembassyseoul.gov.in/spoof_register/
