The Embassy has been taking up the problems being faced by Indian students admitted to various courses of study in ROK Universities in getting visas due to the ongoing Covid19 pandemic.
We are happy to inform that some progress has been made and the Korean authorities have started to accept visa applications from Indian students who are Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) awardees. All Indian students who are GKS awardees are advised to approach the ROK Embassy/Consulates for visa and contact their respective universities regarding travel instructions.
The Embassy remains in regular touch with the authorities and has been assured that issue of visas to other scholarship awardees will also be considered in the coming days. The Embassy will persist with its efforts to secure the interests of Indian students.
